Vetoquinol Canada, a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company, has announced its sponsorship with Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO), a registered charity dedicated to providing a One Health model of care to houseless and vulnerably housed adults and youth.
The partnership between Vetoquinol Canada and Community Vet Outreach will help further the mission of the charity by providing financial support for its programs, which include pro bono preventive veterinary care, and social and health services for their clients. By offering human health services and health education alongside preventative veterinary care, Community Vet Outreach seeks to improve access to veterinary and human health resources for an at-risk population and amplify the human-animal bond to increase human health resource uptake.
Although Community Vet Outreach is not solely an animal welfare organization. Their mandate is to improve the health and welfare of vulnerable and at-risk populations by providing health services and community connections that matter to them.
"We are thrilled to partner with Community Veterinary Outreach to help make a positive impact on the lives of animals and humans in need," said Vetoquinol’s Canada's Country Manager, Alexandre Fournier. "At Vetoquinol Canada, we believe in the power of animal health to improve human health, and we are committed to supporting organizations that share this belief."
Through partnership with Vetoquinol, Community Veterinary Outreach is able to support the care of more animals and the people who love them. We are excited to see this relationship evolve through a One Health focus.
“One Health is a cornerstone of Community Veterinary Outreach’s approach. We are very excited to have commitment from Vetoquinol evolve to support a shared One Health value system.” Dr. Melanie Barham, Acting CEO, Community Veterinary Outreach. Vetoquinol continues to provide in-kind donation of medical products from their extensive product line and has pledged up to $5,000 of financial donation for 2023 to Community Veterinary Outreach.
We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to working together to make a positive impact in our community. If you would like to learn more about Community Veterinary Outreach, please visit https://vetoutreach.org/.
